'Colonel Oswald Fitzgerald’. HT. A brilliant rose. Its blood-red, velvety crimson, beautifully finished blooms are produced in great profusion on erect stems; growth vigorous and branching; pure tea perfume. We have no hesitation whatsoever in describing this variety as excellent. Named in remembrance of Colonel Oswald Fitzgerald – a lover of roses – who perished with his chief, Lord Kitchener.
