Joseph Graham (1828-1894) commenced a nursery and seed business in 1857 occupying premises in Sydney's George Street Markets. He prospered and in 1868 made his home, Lilydale, at Marrickville, establishing extensive nursery gardens there and also later at Auburn.

The 1874 catalogue also contained a listing for
p29. Ada H.P rosy crimson. Good. [Possibly a misprint for 'Adanson' 1874]
p32. Paul Dupreze HP. Crimson scarlet, very good. [Perhaps not Paul Dupuy, which Graham lists in the line above]
p33. Thorie Beautiful pure white rose, large, full, and of fine form.
