Fredric Minstral is hardy in my zone 6a garden. The first few years I lost it to the ground over the winter, but it always came back very well. The last two seasons the canes have wintered well. It is 5+ ft in height and 6-7 ft around. This rose is a consistant, non-stop bloomer, with decent disease reisistance.

My 'Frederic Mistral' took 2 years to establish - probably because I moved it to a sunnier spot where it has finally burgeoned into an attractive, dense shrub as wide as it is tall. It now blooms constantly, in a thick mass of exquisitely fragrant blossoms.

I just planted this rose last spring and it has had a couple of blooms on it consistently since then. Height has reached 6ft here in Oklahoma. The blooms are some of the largest I have seen.
