Rosa canina L. photos photo
Photos photo courtesy of Cass
Last month at Roseto Carla Fineschi, one of Prof. Fineschi's daughters taught me how to identify Rosa canina. She said to study the margins of the 5 sepals in sequence. The sepals have the following configuation: 2 will have smooth margins and 2 will have leafy margins. These will alternate. The 5th sepal will have one margin smooth, one margin leafy.
