Origin:
Discovered by Unknown (before 1873). Introduced in France by Jules Gravereaux in 1902 as ' Rosa gallica complicata'.
Class:
Gallica / Provins, Species Cross.
Bloom:
Deep pink, lighter reverse, white center. Strong fragrance. 5 to 7 petals. Average diameter 5". Large, single (4-8 petals), flat bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, suckers on its own roots.
Height: 5' to 10' (150 to 305cm). Width: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 8b. Shade tolerant. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Prune after flowering is finished.
