JULIEN POTIN
(Hybrid Tea)
Introduced 1927
Rich self-coloured yellow.
The most popular yellow Rose that we have. The-blooms are full, finely formed with high pointed centre, opening well and lasting over a very long period. Fragrant. The habit of growth is strong and upright, but the buds are produced in clusters of four or five, which makes it necessary to disbud. As a rule the centre bud in the early part of the season comes deformed, therefore a side bud should be left, and the others removed. Later in the year the side growths will produce perfect coloured blooms, which are magnificent. Free of disease. Requires hard pruning to two eyes the last week in March. It is a charming variety well suited for both exhibition and garden purposes. Awarded a Gold Medal of the National Rose Society.
