Origin:
Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, 1893).
Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1899 as 'Marquise Litta'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Vermilion.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Spreading, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Wrongly named 'Marquise Litta de Breteuil' on the Journal des Roses drawing, it should be 'Marquise Litta'.
