Registration name: Lady Florence Stronge
Origin:
Bred by Samuel McGredy II (United Kingdom, before 1924).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1926 as 'Lady Florence Stronge'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange-red, scarlet veining, pink edges, yellow undertones.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
