Registration name: Amelia Earhart (Hybrid Tea, Reymond, 1929)

Bred by Louis Reymond (France, before 1929).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1932 as 'Amelia Earhart'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1935 as 'Amelia Earhart'.

Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  

Golden-yellow, deep yellow center, orange-pink shading, golden-yellow reverse.  Strong fragrance.  100 petals.  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, long, pointed buds.  

Upright, well-branched.  

Height: up to 5' (up to 150cm).  Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).

USDA zone 7b through 9b.  Vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Different opinions on pollen parent. The addition of 'Paul Neyron' is probably a misunderstanding. The original description says "as large as Paul Neyron".
