Introduced in France by Moulin aîne et fils in 1849 as 'Aristobule'.

Moss.  

Deep pink, lighter mottling, darker shading.  Violet-blue flecks on outer petals.  Average diameter 2.75".  Medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  

Rounded.  Medium, dark green foliage.  

Height: up to 5' (up to 150cm).
