Notes:
The Peter Beales Collection of Classic Roses 2000-2001 says Columbian Climber was sent to them by Vivian Russell in 1993 and strictly speaking, this rose should be ignored because they can find out very little about it, but it is too good a rose to pretend it doesn't exist.

Peter Beales Roses Ltd confirmed [2009] that Columbian Climber is in fact Columbia, Cl. (Climbing Hybrid Tea, Lens, 1929)

Victor Hewitt writes: 'Columbian Climber' is indeed a most spectacular rose, with very strong Hybrid-Tea characteristics and a most notable perfume.
