Bred by Pedro (Pere) Dot (Spain, 1939).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1940 as 'Riviera'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange-red, lighter reverse, yellow undertones.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Rounded buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, dark green, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.
