Origin:
Bred by Mathias Tantau, Jr. (1912 - 2006) (Germany, before 1976).
Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1981 as 'Canary'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, orange-red outer petals.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
