Roy and Heather Rumsey, NSW. New Roses.
Carla (De Ruiter) Hybrid Tea. This variety took a long time reaching us, but the waiting was well worth it. A soft dawn pink flower of 26 petals, and nicely formed. Quite a large bloom, and very good. Good growth. ('Queen Elizabeth' x 'Sweet Repose').

Carla HT. (de Ruiter, 1963) 'Queen Elizabeth' x 'Sweet Repose' (two Floribunda parents!)  See also 1964 Australian Rose Annual. A big rose of excellent form in delightful soft pink colouring. The outer petals are much paler than those near the centre. Free blooming. Dark foliage and vigorous. It has done well already on Victorian show benches.
