Bred by Dr. Dennison H. Morey (United States, before 1960).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1960 as 'American Home'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1963 as 'American Home'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red.  Strong fragrance.  30 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Medium, upright.  Leathery foliage.  

Height: 4'11" (150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
