Bred by Antoine Penny (France, before 1928).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1928 as 'Aristide Briand'.

Bloom:
Pink, mauve shading, ages to lighter .  Strong fragrance.  Medium, very double, in large clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  Glossy foliage.  

Height: 9'10" to 13'1" (300 to 400cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.
