Bred by William Paul (1822-1905) (United Kingdom, 1889).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Sappho'.

Bloom:
Yellow, deep yellow shading, deep yellow center.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4a through 5b.
