'MACrero' rose Description

ARS:
Medium red Hybrid Tea. Registration name: MACrero Exhibition name: Bulls Red
Bloom:
Crimson. Dark red. Mild fragrance. up to 28 petals. Average diameter 4". Small to medium, full (26-40 petals), high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Ovoid buds.
Habit:
Tall, upright. Dark green foliage.
Height: 39" to 4'11" (100 to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Named after Bulls, a small town near Palmerston North on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
