Bred by Charles Mallerin (France, before 1953).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1953 as 'Centennial'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1959 as 'Centennial'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Peach - red, buff reverse.  Moderate, tea fragrance.  40 to 45 petals.  Average diameter 4.25".  Large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  Medium, leathery foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
