Bloom:
Orange-pink. Cream, tinted pink and aurore. Light pink in spring. In summer it takes on a coppery or salmon fawn center. Strong fragrance. Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Tall, armed with thorns / prickles.
Height: 47" to 5'11" (120 to 180cm). Width: 30" to 4'1" (75 to 125cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Information received from Sandie Maclean reveals that Fairlie Rede was secretary of the Frankston Horticultural Society in 1938. Susan Irvine (refer 1994 reference) says Fairlie Rede lived on the Peninsula outside Melbourne and grew flowers commercially...
