Bred by William Paul (1822-1905) (United Kingdom, 1890).
Introduced in Australia by Robert Rattray's Rosebank Nursery in 1894 as 'Salamander'.

Scarlet to crimson.  Outer petals reflexed.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
