Bloom:
Violet to dark purple, carmine-red shading, deep pink edges, ages to purple . Colour of individual blooms are pink, crimson, dark purple or violet. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 2.25". Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season. Ovoid buds.
Habit:
Medium green foliage. 3 to 5 leaflets.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Pollen parent was an unknown damask perpetual. Prince Albert (Francis Albert Augustus Charles Emmanuel Saxe-Coburg) was born 26 August 1819 in Bavaria, Germany. He died 14 December 1861 of typhoid fever at Windsor Castle. He is buried at Windsor. See References for more information about Parentage.
