Origin:
Bred by Antoine Mari (France, before 1899).
Introduced in France by Léon Jupeau in 1900 as 'Madame Vermorel'.
Introduced in Australia by Arthur Yates & Co. Ltd. in 1902 as 'Madame Vermorel'.
Class:
Tea.  
Bloom:
Rose-pink, yellow center, copper shading, red shading.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Dense, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
