Origin:
Bred by William A. Warriner (United States, 1981).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (post 1970) in 1981 as 'Emblem'.
Class:
Florists Rose, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Yellow.  Mild fragrance.  30 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

Notes:
According to the US Patent for JP 76-5492, the breeding objective was to produce a new rose variety that was "suitable for the production of cut blooms when grown in a greenhouse, producing yellow blooms." Parentage is given as Unknown x 'Sunshine' (USPP003791).
Jackson & Perkins Greenhouse Roses says Emblem™ is a well-known, bright yellow hubrid tea. It is also a Society of American Florists winner.
