Inventor: Noack, Reinhard. A new variety of ground cover rose which forms throughout the season long-lasting bright velvet red blossoms. Created at Gutersloh, Germany... The female parent was 'Ricarda' (which has deep salmon-pink semi-double blossoms). The male parent was an unnamed seedling that included 'Flower Carpet' in its parentage. This seedling was initially identified as No. 1039-89... this rose commonly blooms in large sprays of 20 to 25 blossoms.
