Bred by George Paul (1841-1921) (United Kingdom, 1896).
Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1899 as 'Haileybury'.

Bloom:
Crimson, cherry-red edges.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 4a through 5b.  Hardy.
