Introduced in France by Louis Lévêque & Fils in 1862 as 'Comtesse de Polignac'.

Bloom:
Crimson, dark purple shading, dark purple flecks.  Hollow centre.  Small to medium, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
