Bred by Jean Ducher, fils (1852-1909) (France, 1889).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Souvenir du Rosiériste Gonod'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, pink veining.  Very large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.
