Bred by Veuve, Widow Rambaux (France, 1881).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Madame Rambaux'.

Bloom:
Carmine-pink, dark red shading, lighter reverse.   (rose carmin nuancé, d'amarante plus pale sur le revers.).  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, very double, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
