Bred by Gilbert Nabonnand (1828-1903) (France, 1888).
Introduced in Australia by H. Kemp in 1909 as 'Nardy'.

Climber, Noisette, Tea, Tea, Cl..  

Salmon-yellow, copper shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, very double, globular bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  

Climbing.  Large, bronze-green foliage.  

Height: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).  

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower, garden, pillar or shrub.  Vigorous.  

Sangerhausen describes the color of the bloom as coppery-salmon yellow.

Sébastien Nardy: landscape gardener from Hyères, where he died on December 11, 1909 at the age of 79. Following a trip to America, he introduced, around 1876, the peach 'Amsde' into cultivation.
