Ellen Willmott (H.T.) carries a name previously used by Bernaix in 1898, and is one of the finest of all single roses. On a bush of some thirty inches with red-purple stems and glossy foliage the single, wavy-petalled pink, white and lemon flowers are borne. To add to their attraction, they have golden anthers and red filaments. Archer 1936. ..Vigorous growth. Moderate fragrance....June-Sept. Hardy.

Another new variety, after the style of the Poulsen Rose, is Ellen Willmott. It is one of the most beautiful single Roses I have seen, the colour of the blooms reminding me of ripe peaches. I know there are some who can see no beauty in a single Rose, but I feel sure that if they could but see a bowl of these lovely flowers they would find it exceedingly hard to resist their charms.

The description in the RNRS 1935 annual reads
This is a pretty single blooming rose, best described as a pale golden yellow, shaded pink at the edges. The petals are particularly waved which makes the bloom very attractive. Fragrant. The foliage is dark red. Free of disease.
