Introduced in United Kingdom by Gandy's Roses Ltd. in 1953 as 'Pechtold Flame'.
Introduced in Australia by Langbecker in 1956 as 'Pechtold's Flame'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Red, scarlet shading.  Strong fragrance.  20 to 25 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered to flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Dark green, dense foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
