Everblooming Roses
The so-called Everblooming Roses include the Hybrid Tea and Pernetiana groups. They do not bloom all the time, but if kept healthy and growing steadily, one crop of flowers succeeds another at brief intervals.

A standard crimson garden Rose, fair for cutting. Buds liable to ball in heat and wet.

Etoile de France.  Hybrid Tea.  France never sent out a better Rose than this superb variety.  Plants form strong, upright bushes with splendid green foliage, and in the open ground it is particularly good, growing hardy and vigorous; preëminently the Rose for the masses.  The flowers are simply gorgeous- rich, velvety crimson, full, very large, double, and cup-shaped, with fragrance that is deliciously exquisite.

Etoile de France (Pernet-Ducher, 1904): clear, bright crimson, of fair form, fragrant. The color blues with age. I place it before the following varieties because of its general, all-season dependability: - General MacArthur.... . H. V. Machin,.... Mme. Meha Sabatier..... These four are the best of a general type of red rose, but are, of course, quite different from each other.

General List. (74) Etoile de France (HT. Pernet Ducher 1905) F.2. This variety may be said to be a success only in some places and generally a failure in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The colour is crimson, shade[d] cherry red, the blooms double but in shape and flowering inferior to 'Hadley'.
