Description. Named for Peter Harkness' daughter, Anne. Visitors to rose shows are well accustomed to finding its srays in the prize exhibits -- only at late-season shows though, for such majestic trusses take time to form.

Jack Harkness has also used his brush on the lovely but late flowering 'Anne Harkness' (Harkaramel) to produce 'Princess Alice'( Hartanna) which has similar growth and habit but in an unfading yellow. Both figure prominantly on the exhibitor's stands. The nursery has others in the pipeline from the same line. More pleasures to come.

HARkaramel  ('Anne Harkness)  ['Bobby Dazzler' x (('Manx Queen' x 'Prima'Ballerina') x ('Chanelle' x 'Piccadilly'))]. A splendid H.T. type of floribunda, by Harkness, with a wonderful display of yellow-orange flowers from late July onwards. It is tall growing and very healthy. If only it had been an early flowerer I would have rated it a Gold Medal seedling. Obviously it should be grown in a bed by itself and doubtless it will feature in many gardens which are open to the public in the holiday season. Trial Ground Certificate.
