Origin:
Bred by Jacobus Verschuren-Pechtold (1884-1946) (Netherlands, before 1939).
Introduced in United States by J. Parmentier Roses in 1941 as 'Aviator Parmentier'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Pink to orange, peach shading, lemon-yellow undertones.  Mild fragrance.  25 to 35 petals.  Average diameter 4.25".  Large, full (26-40 petals), high-centered to cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, long buds.  
Habit:
Glossy foliage.  3 to 7 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
