Bred by Joseph Bonnaire (France, 1888).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1892 as 'Capitaine Lefort'.

Bloom:
Purple-pink. Pink reverse.  Average diameter 5.5".  Very large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, long buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
