Introduced in France by Jean-Pierre Liabaud in 1872 as 'Bengale sanglant'.

Deep pink to red, crimson shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Medium to large, semi-double to double, in small clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Spreading.  Reddish-purple foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
