Bred by Gilbert Nabonnand (1828-1903) (France, 1901).
Introduced in Australia by Hawter’s Nurseries in 1909 as 'Comtesse Sophy Torby'.

Tea.  
Bloom:
Peach to salmon-yellow, orange shading, copper center.  Peach-red, in autumn coppery orange yellow.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
