Bred by Eugene S. Boerner (United States, before 1957).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1957 as 'Gold Cup'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1958 as 'Gold Cup'.
Introduced in France by Vilmorin-Andrieux in 1963 as 'Coupe d'Or'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow.  Empire yellow.  Strong, centifolia, old rose fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, very double, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Medium, glossy, dark green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: up to 28" (up to 70cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
