Introduced in United Kingdom by Gandy's Roses Ltd. in 1956 as 'Davy Crockett'.

Dark red.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Davy Crockett was born in a small cabin on the banks of the Nolichucky River in Tennessee on 17 August 1786. At the age of 49, he died at The Alamo.
