Bred by Niels J. Hansen (United States, 1939).
Introduced in United States by Bobbink & Atkins in 1939 as 'Daylight'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Blush, cream shading, yellow undertones.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very double, cupped, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Although the American Rose Society declared this rose extinct in 1992, we received the following information from HMF site user, Jedmar on on December 24, 2011:

"The rose in Sangerhausen is in line with the description, so, there is a high probability that it is correct. .... Sangerhausen will sell a 'Daylight' this winter, so we will be able to make better photos next year."
