Origin: Bred by Coquerel  (France, before 1829).  Introduced in Australia by Camden Park  in 1850 as 'Vesta'.  
Bloom: Crimson.  Large, semi-double to double bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Ovoid buds.   
Growing: USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
