Origin:
Bred by Gebr. Leenders / Leenders Bros. (Netherlands, 1927).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'Nuntius Pacelli'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1929 as 'Nuntius Pacelli'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
White, cream center.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, dense, well-branched.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Maria Giuseppe Giovanni Pacelli, later Pope Pius XII, was born 2 March 1876. He was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to the German Republic in 1920. He died 9 October 1958.
