Bred by Ryojun Itō (Japan, 1973).
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Red.  Strong fragrance.  24 petals.  Average diameter 5.5".  Large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The land of Oirase is located in Japan in the prefecture of Aomori, which means means "green groves." The Oirase stream flows through this very beautiful area.
