p115 Mr. S. J. Bisdee. Two Australian Roses. Firstly, Gwendoline Collins. Soon after I first got this Rose, Mr. Clark told me he thought I would like it; I certainly do. It does not make a tall bush, but is so very free; never seems to cease flowering, in spite of more or less neglect, and is such a lovely shade of carmine. It is a most refined thing, with nicely pointed buds. To those of the Rose-growing fraternity who have not yet tried it, I unhesitatingly recommend it. As a bedder, I should think it would be superb. .

p65 S. J. Bisdee. Melbourne’s Roses Through Tasmanian Eyes. Another evening Mr. Clark whisked me off to “Glenara”..... Argosy and Gwendoline Collins are also excellent. All four of these are doing well in my own garden in Tasmania.

p125 Mr. B. Rowlands, of Murrumbeena, Victoria. shares the opinion of many others when he expresses commendation of these high quality Roses. The long and short – Doris Downes and Gwendoline Collins. The first-named grows about 10 feet, with almost thornless canes six feet in length , while the last named is dwarfish and compact, but each produces many really first-class flowers of good lasting qualities. A really high-class couple.

p126 Mr. S. J. Bisdee. Tasmanian Roses. Gwendoline Colllins. This was late getting away, but the growth was very satisfactory. The colour, a deep carmine pink, was very good and foliage was healthy.

p135 Grantham of Murrumbeena, Victoria. Good and Not So Good. Gwendoline Collins. Also a good grower of dwarfish habit. Floriferous, producing medium size, carmine-pink flowers, of pleasing shape.

Alister Clark. A Walk About “Glenara”.
...Mrs. George Geary; although a good colour is too weak in the stem, and I am looking to Gwendoline Collins to prove more satisfactory.

Gwendoline Collins (HT) (A. Clark, 1937). 3. An extra fine carmine rose with good shape and large petals. It is refined, beautiful and constant, and is sure to please. Everywhere.
Book  (1937)

p24 Alister Clark. My New Roses. Gwendoline Collins (HT) is strikingly beautiful and free, and may be caught fit for a show specimen. Although it is not as full as most show Roses, it has shape and size. Unfortunately, I have lost trace of its parentage.

p109. Editor. Roses of Australia. Gwendoline Collins. HT. (Alister Clark). 1937. An extra fine carmine Rose with good shape and large petals. It is refined, beautiful and constant, and is sure to please.
