Bloom:
Orange-pink. Yellow and orange-pink. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 6". Large, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Medium, upright. Large, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 3' (90cm). Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, garden or hedge. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

According to The Peter Beales Collection of Classic Roses 2000-2001, Evelyn May is named for Peter Beales' mother. The blossoms are a mixture of orange, salmon and yellow.
