Bloom:
Yellow. Honey fragrance. Small, single (4-8 petals) bloom form. Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.
Height: 8' (245cm). Width: 6' (185cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
This rose was raised at Hidcote Manor, the home of Lawrence Johnson. An American by birth, Johnson became a naturalized citizen of Britain after studying at Cambridge. In the early 1900's, Johnson laid out gardens around the manor house which were planted with exotic plants from around the world. Johnson travels included excursion to the Alps with alpine plant specialist E. A. Bowles, to the Andes, to South Africa with George Taylor, to Burma and Yunnan with George Forrest, to Taiwan, and to the Atlas Mountains.
