'Isabel de Ortiz' rose Description

ARS:
Pink blend Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Isabel de Ortiz
Bloom:
Rose-pink, silver(y) reverse. Moderate fragrance. 38 to 40 petals. Average diameter 5". Very large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Pointed buds.
Habit:
Upright. Glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.
Height: 42" (105cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
Notes:
Named for a family member of the head gardener Ramón Ortiz Ferré, who takes care of the urban facilities such as the Parque del Oeste in Madrid.
