HMF's description of this rose notes "Occasional repeat later in the season". Ross roses site declares that it constantly flowers for eight months of the year. Can anyone comment on its repeat performance?

I don't grow it, but the references certainly say "continuous", eight months of the year" and "good repeating". We'll change it from Occasional repeat to Continuous. Thanks Meryl.

I was wondering if anyone growing this rose could comment on its health. I'm interested to hear what impact introducing the Tea, via 'Anna Oliver', has had on its overall performance given that the others in its pedigree aren't exactly bullet-proof.

The Modern Roses 12 parentage appears to be slightly wrong.
Personal correspondence to me from Ross Roses of July 8, 2009 confirm the parentage of
Seed:Gertrude Jekyll
Pollen:Anna Olivier (tea, Ducher, 1872) × Mrs. Mary Thomson

Is there a reference to substantiate the ....ahem ....Anna Liver etc parentage listed in the Notes for 'Deane Ross'. There is a different parentage listed in the 2002 reference.

What-- you haven't always longed for a liver colored rose? The ARS registration information shows the parentage as (Gertrude Jekyll x Anna Olivier) x Tomone aka Mrs Mary Thomson. Does that agree with your information?

No. No liver or brown or grey roses for me. Give me blush, cerise, ivory or even rose madder, but no liver please.

The 2002 reference was one from Ross Roses Centenary catalogue and on page 60 'Deane Ross' was said to "bear the best of both its parents 'Onkaparinga' and 'Gertrude Jekyll'.

Patricia, I think your best option is to contact Ross Roses directly to check the parentage. It's a busy time for rose nurseries, so a prompt answer is not to be expected.
