Bred by Eugène Verdier fils aîne (France, before 1845).
Introduced in Australia by J. Graham & Co. in 1874 as 'Madame Verdier'.

Bloom:
Light pink.  Average diameter 3.25".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Leafy sepals, rounded buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Medium green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
